Reconnecting...

9 March 2007

Welcome to "Reconnecting..." for March.

Firstly I just want to let you know there will be no issue of "Reconnecting..." in April. I'm taking a long overdue trip back to New Zealand to see family and reconnect with my beloved homeland - and I can't wait! I'll be back mid-April from my trip and look forward to reconnecting with you then. The next issue of the newsletter will be in early May.

There are changes and shifts happening in the Colourworks world, lots of exciting news and information will be revealed in the forthcoming international Colourworks newsletter, which will be out soon at www.colourworks.org.

I've had a pretty amazing month. I was hugely privileged and honoured to be taught by Melissie Jolly, creator of Colourworks, to train practitioners up to teachers level, so as well as continuing to offer practitioner level workshops I will in future be offering teacher level workshops internationally. It feels incredibly exciting and deeply humbling to be able to share my passion for colour and Colourworks at this level. When I came back from the training I literally felt lifted to a whole new level and since then the flow of abundance in my life - in all its forms - has been a real reflection for me of the flow that has been opened up inside of me.

It got me to thinking about how much we strive and strain and struggle to achieve what we want in our lives - prosperity, success, love, relationships - and how much we speak about 'letting go' on our path of personal and spiritual development. We so want to let go of limiting beliefs, old patterns, addictions, fears, old emotions, ways of being which no longer serve us. And we 'do' and we try and we push ourselves, all in the name of 'letting go'. We think that if we just use this technique or see this person or read this book we will let go of whatever it is we've been holding on to and then....well and then what? Are we waiting for this or that to happen before we can fully embrace life and be who we really are? What happens if we fall into the river of life and let it take us in its divine flow...perhaps we stop all the doing and the striving and we actually do just let go...

Until we reconnect again, many blessings to you.

If you are holding feelings of separation, abandonment, betrayal and unworthiness somewhere in your body, this bottle will assist you to release those limiting feelings and beliefs by helping your body 'get' that heaven and earth are one, that we are spirit in a body and that playing small never served anyone, least of all ourselves.
This is where the red of the material, physical plane and the rose pink of the heart come together so we can understand that spirit and matter are one, not separate. Set yourself free from beliefs that you cannot, for example, be wealthy and spiritual. Or that the material world is the only thing that is 'real'. Both these kinds of beliefs are simply indicators of a limited view, seeing only one part of the whole.

This and all other Colourworks bottles are available for £20 + p&p. Contact me to purchase or to find out more.

"Our bodies and our physical environments are merely reflections of our consciousness. That is why matter cannot be changed by sheer human will power any more than a reflection in a mirror can be changed if we don't change the object causing the reflection. Presently our world reflects our consciousness. We have erroneously set about trying to change outer-world situations instead of changing our consciousness, which is causing the outer-world situations. This is a futile effort and can only be corrected by raising our consciousness."

Ulrike Muller-Webb has just set up a lovely new meditation and healing centre in Boscombe, next door to the Tibet Shop in Royal Arcade. Ulrike says: "My intention is to create a space for everyone to use, to feel safe in peaceful surroundings in order to meditate, 'hang out', read spiritual stuff (our library holds over 500 books now and we're adding new ones all the time), have some healing...all for free! The centre will be open every day from 10 till 5 and will be run by some of our Tibet charity volunteers. The Tibet charity is also the umbrella organisation for this little enterprise, so we hope to have funding for the project soon - anyone who can come up with a good idea re funding is welcome to email back! Likewise, anyone who wants to be involved as a volunteer is welcome to come forward."

The centre will also offer free of charge space for therapists, healers, tarot readers etc., regular meditation groups and film showings.

For further information contact Ulrike on tibetculturetrust@yahoo.co.uk

"Sometimes the demands of the moment can grab our attention and hold it tight. If we're not careful we can get so caught up in dealing with these distracting demands we realize too late that life has passed us by. We are better served if we occasionally stand back and ask, "A year from now, will this still matter?" If the answer is yes, then we must, by all means, continue to attend to the need of the moment. But if the answer is no, which it so often is, we can, with love and gentle humour, remind it and ourselves that those things which will not matter in the long run have no right to drive us crazy now. And then we can let it self-correct, knowing with full certainty that it will."
