Reconnecting... 07 July 2006 Welcome to "Reconnecting..." for July. Have you ever noticed how much time rules our lives? 'Time is of the essence'; 'time is so precious'; 'time waits for no one; 'I don't have time'; 'I wish I had more time'; 'what time will you be here'; 'I must be on time'. I don't know about you but time is something I've tended to allow to stress me out. Not wanting to be late or cramming too many things in to an available space in my busy schedule, I become tight and stretched and uneasy in my body and mind. Likewise, wanting or expecting something to happen at a given time can cause me all sorts of anguish if it doesn't happen. Lately, I've been playing with this concept of time more and becoming aware of how I've used it to control things and of how it's in fact had control over me. And so I've been watching what happens when I loosen up my approach to time, opening to the understanding that time is simply a 3D construct we've created and that it actually doesn't even exist...that there is only the 'now' moment, always and forever. This, of course, is not a new idea, and it's one I've 'known' intellectually for ages, but now that I'm actually incorporating it into my life, it's kind of interesting. I have begun to ask myself what happens if I simply allow things to unfold in divine timing. What happens if I trust that whatever happens is perfect the way it is, simply because it is the way it is? How does this allow me to live my life? And the answer: with greater simplicity, ease and lightness. It's actually about letting go (isn't everything?!) and allowing, rather than forcing or controlling. How much smoother my life flows when I let go of trying to make things happen and instead open myself to the space where I allow them to happen. Do you see the difference? Of course we can go to the other extreme too, and use this more relaxed approach to time as an excuse not to get things done, or, not to put to fine a point on it, to faff around indefinitely! Somewhere in there I believe there is a balance between allowing and taking action. This month I invite you to ask yourself:
Enjoy the summer, and in this time of light and heat, explore what happens when you soften into the eternal now and let go of the tyrant of 'time' Love and blessings Erica Connolly
Quote of the Month: Nick Williams (www.nick-williams.com) Book of the Month: The Reconnection by Dr Eric Pearl CD of the Month: Holy Harmony by Jonathan Goldman
Holy Harmony is an exquisitely beautiful CD of two overlaid sound energies: the tones of tuning forks cut to frequencies known as the Healing Codes; and a chant believed to relay powerful spiritual energies. Jonathan Goldman is an authority on sound healing and harmonics and incorporates his extensive knowledge of sound from both scientific and spiritual traditions into his incredible music. I quote from the CD's insert: "In various specialized workshops, I had groups chant "YHSVH" [the chant heard on this CD, composed of letters of the Hebrew alphabet]. The effect was extraordinary. In addition to its ability to produce Divine frequencies and thus cleanse imbalanced and negative energies, it also seemed to specifically activate the thymus gland's related energy center and anchor - what I call the "Christ Energy" - into the body. This energy is able to do a vibrational recalibration of our cellular structure and DNA." Visit Jonathan's website www.healingsounds.com for more information and to listen to samples
Website of the Month: www.choosingprosperity.com This is one of the best 'prosperity' websites I've come across. The premise is that rather than wanting or seeking prosperity, we must actively choose it, and that by aligning ourselves with prosperity we can create it 'from the inside out'. There are numerous free resources including an online prosperity game and a meditation which I found particularly powerful (visit Waterfall Meditation). Visit www.choosingprosperity.com
