Welcome to "Reconnecting..." for August. 

Compiling the newsletter this time was an interesting experience - I really wasn't sure I even wanted to write one this month.  There are times when I just don't want to have to find words...so much of what is really important to me goes above, outside of and totally beyond words...and so sometimes having to find words just limits an experience, or a feeling, or a knowing.  As a writer, this may sound kind of unusual - after all, words are my medium.  And I do love them, really!  It's just that sometimes we use them to analyse things which do not need to be analysed, to explain things which cannot be explained and to limit the limitless...Anyway I did find quite a lot to say after all!  I hope you find it of interest.

Last month I featured Eckhart Tolle's wonderful book 'Stillness Speaks' and I have been finding stillness more than ever lately, something that's always been a huge challenge for me.  As a Gemini, my butterfly mind often takes me on all sorts of side-trips en route to my destinations – which is fun, but can also be frustrating!  Lately I find myself more and more just wanting to drop deep down inside, to that place of perpetual stillness, the emptiness that is the ultimate fullness.  There I find peace and rest from the onslaught of this information age we live in.

Going out into our garden at dusk, I am deeply touched by the stillness of the plants and trees.  And yet in their stillness I find a deep vibrant life-force.  I then find echoes of that in my own being as I move into stillness and feel my own vibrancy, in which there is no sense of separation from all that is, just an opening into the vastness of existence.

Book of the Month: The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking by James Twyman


The words in this book are beautiful and meaningful and challenging, but it's the energy behind the words that is really something else.  This is an astonishing and potent book which works at very deep levels.  In the form of 33 'lessons' to be read over 99 days, James Twyman reveals teachings of Jeshua Ben Joseph, teachings which he says rather than being 'channelled', came 'through him and of him'. 

I quote from the introduction to the book:  The teachings "will have great significance, but there will be hidden information that the conscious mind cannot comprehend.  This information will be encoded in the words.  The soul will then hear what the mind cannot…They will be revealed in a way that each person may know and live them, for that is what is so needed today."

Colourworks Healing and Balancing

Colourworks bottles carry a unique energy which I often use in healing sessions, placing the bottles on or beside your body.  Their energies are incredibly powerful and can facilitate deep healing.  I also offer chakra balancing and healing with the bottles, taking you from your 'old' chakra colours up to the higher vibration and lighter 'new' chakra colours.  This is quite an experience!  The photos above show the transition from the traditional base chakra to its new counterpart (moving from red to clear/white) and the traditional third eye chakra (indigo) moving to beautiful golden/white.

The outer world, in all of its beauty and horror, is a mirror for each one of us.  It is the macrocosmic reflection of our microcosmic interior lives.  As imperative as it is to have our eyes wide open to what's happening in the Middle East, in Africa, and in other parts of our aching world, it is of the utmost importance that we also look within ourselves.  What is the outer world trying telling us?  

Have you noticed that there's a war going on inside?  It is the age-old human conflict between our emotional, mental and spiritual selves.  It is the fallout of the ego's fear.  It has us believe that we are divided; that we're separate from these seemingly conflicting voices.  Where are you internally at war with yourself?  Where are you giving attention to your inner terrorist?  How are you waging war?  Is it through demeaning internal dialogue or damaging and addictive behaviours?  Do you make choices that leave you feeling unsafe and at risk in some area of your life?  Are you embroiled in an abusive relationship or friendship?  Are your dreams and future possibilities held hostage by a part of you that is stuck in the pain of the past?

It is the work of the spiritual warrior to tell ourselves the truth and to shine a light - to bring love to these parts of ourselves that we've separated from and ultimately reclaim them.  We are going to have the conflict.  It's a part of how we're wired as human beings.  But each one of us is given the divine responsibility to shed light and bring love to these parts of ourselves every day - to make peace with the aspects of ourselves and our lives that wehave ignored, neglected, abused, violated, betrayed and hated - even in the subtlest ways.  If we can give up our agendas, righteous positions, and judgements and tune in to what is so - and what's needed - then we provide the collective space for others to do that.

As we shift our internal world, our external world shifts.

Just imagine if each of us made a 20% shift in the vibration that we send out, sending out more acceptance, more kindness, more compassion.  By doing this, you will energetically rearrange yourself.  The world is calling on each of us right now to be conscious of our interactions and our impact.  It's time that you know that you really matter.  What you think and what you do matters.  As you take exceptional care of your own internal world, know that it will make a difference in the outer world.

Middle East Ceasefire Campaign - Email Petition

I know there are various opinions on how effective email petitions are but if you feel it might help, here's one to sign that will apparently be delivered to the UN Security Council.  The petition calls on US President Bush, UK Prime Minister Blair and the UN Security Council to support UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan's call for an immediate ceasefire and an international force to stabilise the situation.

Earth Talk with Pat Angrove

Pat writes:  “Do you feel you have been wading through treacle?  Things still not popping open for you?  As I said to a friend the other day, at least we are not wading through quicksand - call me the eternal optimist!

Well, the truth is that things are popping open for us.  Things are moving again at long last.

The reason is that we are now able to stop anchoring in the new energy – it’s here, it’s anchored.  This energy came in with the energy shift in March this year and we have been busy anchoring it in.  We didn't actually have to do much but the Earth uses our bodies to hold this new energy for a while until it can anchor in.  Now we can practice using the new energy.

Whilst we carry the energy prior to anchorage, we cannot do much else, it's like the whole universe is waiting and holding its breath.  We carry that energy until the Earth can anchor it, until every stone, mountain, stream and ocean vibrates with this new energy.  We also find that nothing happens for us, and because we are such "doing" beings we notice when opportunities are not happening.  But this was a time when we were busy in other ways and now that this "job" has come to and end for a while, we can get back on with our lives.

So make the most of this new energy.  It is an energy that enables us to create more easily, so all sorts of doors will be opening and all sorts of opportunities may arise.  Just be aware of what you are creating and take responsibility for it, for not all our creations are conscious.  As we become more conscious then we will be more aware of ourselves creating consciously.  What fun we'll have then!"

Endorse-it-in-Dorset Festival

If you are in the South of England this weekend you might want to check out the "Endorse-it-in-Dorset" festival, being held from Friday 11 August to Sunday 13 August at Oakley Farm, near Sixpenny Handley (just off the A354 between Salisbury and Blandford).  This is a music festival with a huge range of bands on three stages, camping, bars, food stalls, a kids area and a healing zone in the beautiful woodland area.  I will be there offering colour readings and colour healing so come along and see me!  For information and to purchase tickets (day tickets are available as well as full weekend passes) visit the festival website.

One-Day Deeksha Intensive

Some of you may remember that in my February newsletter I wrote about ‘deeksha’, the transmission of divine energy which can lead to the state of oneness.

A one-day Deeksha Intensive is being held at The Barefoot Barn, Chagford, Devon on Sunday August 13th, from 10am-6pm (or 5-6pm to receive Deeksha only).

The day will include:  Invoking the Divine Presence; various meditations (including a powerful Ananda Mandala meditation, a walking meditation, a slow version of Surya Namaskar- Sun Greeting); Deekshas to the state of Oneness and Flowering of The Heart throughout the day; deepening of the contact with The Sacred Higher Self (Anteryamin); cleansing various energy bodies; opening more for the Divine Flow; relaxation; sharing.
