Reconnecting...

Welcome to "Reconnecting..."
I always sign off this newsletter 'love and blessings' and do so in many of my emails too. I bless my food and the water I drink. I bless the gifts that find me each day, whether seemingly 'good' or 'bad'. And what I find is that, through blessing, I too am blessed, again and again.

I'm learning, slowly, to bless every thing in my world. Even the return of old pain such as I have been experiencing recently. Even somebody saying or doing things which hurt me or others. Even fears which rise up when least expected. These too are all blessings. Why? Because they are all ultimately possibilities for growth, for healing, for change. Because they offer me the opportunity to let go of old ways and embrace new ones. And because they always, always, when I truly welcome them, lead to joy.

The other reason I do it is because it just feels so good!! Notice today where you are blessing and where you are cursing and experiment with blessing every single thing. To begin with you won't believe it, but do it anyway. And before you know it you'll actually see, experience and feel the blessing coming right back to you.

Book of the Month:  Colour Works by Philippa Merivale


I cannot begin to express how fabulous this book is. As a Colourworks teacher and therapist it expands and develops my knowledge and love for
the system enormously, yet even for those who have never heard of Colourworks before this is a book that opens doors in ways too numerous to count.

CD of the Month:  The Dolphin Song

This is a charity CD released by "Operation Sunshine" for the forthcoming Global Love Day on May 1st (see below for further details). It contains two short tracks - one with vocals, one instrumental - which pay homage to the power of dolphins with a gentle soothing melody, flutes and panpipes. The original dolphin song was written by Konoe Ishizaki for the opening ceremony of the Ki and Dolphin Centre in Japan in 1993. This English version uses the same melody, with words written by Rev. Melanie Watts for Operation Sunshine. Copies of the CD can be obtained by sending a donation to Operation Sunshine, 16 Rowsham Dell, Giffard Park, Milton Keynes, MK14 5JS, including £3 for postage and packaging.

Bird Flu

You will all no doubt be aware of the suffering caused to birds and poultry in many countries where mass slaughter has been carried out, often in utterly inhumane ways. Please visit the CIWF (Compassion in World Farming) website for constructive information on how you can help prevent suffering amongst our bird friends in this country. Purification

This beautiful mandala and accompanying text came my way this week, forwarded on at least several times through the email network.  According to the message there is no copyright and the person who is sharing this with us desires for it to be forwarded on...so here it is.

"Before we can heal our Selves, we first need to come clean with ourselves. The energy of Purification will help you to forgive your Self for making choices you did not understand completely at the time. Once you are free of regret and Self-pity, you can start healing your Self after which you will automatically heal everyone around you with radiant unconditional love. Purify your Self!

The tension in the world is growing. Open up a random newspaper, watch the evening news and what we see if we look closely is a world in transition. The distance between the light and the dark side in the world is growing rapidly. But wouldn't we all like to be surrounded by light and love? As the Earth is purifying itself with water, wind and rain so do we need to purify ourselves to prepare us for our own individual transition. As the Earth 'hurts' itself, so must we realize that we might feel 'hurt' if we dare start this process of purification. Get rid of old habits, so-called programs, we run day in day out without realizing it.

A powerful way of doing this is by using Sacred Geometry. Science has proven long ago that our bodies are geometrically designed systems. Our subconsciousness recognises complex Sacred Geometrical symbols that have been used since time immemorial. Although our conscious minds will not understand, and even might think them strange, Sacred Geometry has a powerful effect on our mental state and also our physical body. This code, called Purification, has been published with the sole purpose of helping people with this purification.
