Dear ,
I've been contemplating these past weeks how we balance our passions and enthusiasm for life, our desire to do and to take action with space for peace and rest and contemplation.
I tend to be a fairly inspired and active person, always finding new ideas and projects which fire me up with enthusiasm. In the past few weeks I've been called to really slow down, to do very little and just to 'be' a whole lot of the time. I've had several weeks of resting, reflecting and being.......What bliss! And during this peaceful time I've not felt 'inspired' to do or to take action much at all, and that is just fine - I've been allowing myself to have down time, allowing space, allowing peace.
Balance is...
But for me, the balance between the two is what fulfils me. I love to be enthused and engaged and connected with the source of divine creation. I also love to stop and allow and be. As a Gemini, I have one 'twin' who loves to do, to inspire, to engage, to take action, to create. The other twin just wants a quiet life! I guess we probably all have both of these aspects to some degree and it is part of our path here as conscious beings to unite these forces within us.
We love passion because it ignites us, opens us, expands us, engages us.
We want peace because it softens us, warms us, fulfils us, stills us, connects us.
Can we do both? Have both? Be both?
I believe we can. By following the natural flow of our heart, our own true divine essence self, our higher self if you like, we are called into alignment every moment.
What feels good...
If we can begin to take notice of what is calling us in any moment, what sings to us, what draws us, what feels right for us - whether that is to take up a new project or to take time out, to engage in many activities or to slow right down into simplicity - we can begin to find a sense of our own natural rhythm.
What is connecting with us at a soul and heart level? What feels good in THIS moment? To stop and be? Or to take action? To sit and allow inspiration to come? Or to act on the inspiration we have received? To follow our passion or to find peace?
Maybe we can even find passion in the peace and peace within the passion!
Movement and Stillness
I love what Chi Kung has taught me about the balance between movement and stillness and the constant dynamic that flows between them. It can be a subtle thing and it can take practice to follow our energy, our own natural flow. There can be many demands on our time and energy which come from others and yet.....as we sharpen our ability to tune in to our highest self, our true essence, it becomes not only easier and more satisfying but really, the only way to be.
Masculine/Feminine Balance
With this in mind, I'm teaming up with the lovely Sharon King on 10-11 July for a new and exciting workshop designed to help us bring our male and female aspects into harmony so that we might find our own unique dynamic balance and flow and bring passion and peace into unity.

Jane came to visit me recently and we spent a wonderful morning together during which she interviewed me on camera about my journey and my path. She is touring around the country (and will also be heading further afield on many pilgrimages!) connecting with people who have stories to tell or wisdom to share and I was honoured and delighted to be asked to take part. The interviews will be available to view on her website. Jane will also be offering empowering one-day workshops and follow-up mentoring.

New Oils and Essences
The 7 new platinum oils I wrote about in my last newsletter are really something to behold!
I personally have moved into a completely new space since connecting with them and others are feeding back how powerful and awesome they are.
The one I'm most drawn to at the moment is the beautiful "Om" bottle, a shiny, shimmery platinum bottle of great peace, stillness and light which takes us into a place of reverence.
Melissie and I are currently adding to the Advanced Colour manual for Colour Mirrors practitioners. This advanced level course teaches the astonishing power of colour combinations - what yellow and copper together are about, or coral and violet, or pink and indigo. Now, of course, we have platinum to add, so we are working through each of the colours in the system and placing them alongside the platinum and what we are discovering is that, in Melissie's words:
"Platinum is going to reflect its beauty through whatever you put with it. That's its main job. It is the Zero state. When we are in it we can only see perfection. If we are "there" nothing we see is not part of that and so all becomes beauty/perfection/love because that is all that exists."
