A huge thank you to all who made the launch party such a beautiful and sparkling evening.  It was such a joy for me to share this occasion with you all.  Especially thank you to Claire for your superb organisation, Darryl for just being you (and for all the backup and support), Heather for astonishingly wonderful food and the rest of the team who helped out at various stages of the proceedings.
 
Comments coming in from Thursday night are all saying the same thing:  it was magic.  And you all made it that way, so thank you!

I'm thrilled to have this work go 'out there'.  I hope it brings light and inspiration to those who read it.  It's certainly been an incredible journey for me, one I would not have missed for the world.





Cover Art

For those who have commented on the cover of the book, it comes from an original painting by the hugely talented Hettie Saaiman (www.hettiesart.com).  Hettie is a great friend of Melissie's and when I was in South Africa a few months back we asked her to come up with an image for the cover.  She literally 'received' the cover direct from on high as she slept, woke in the morning and said 'I've got it!'.  The cover has been working with me energetically ever since and has a potent light all of its own.

Satori

Over this last week of the Golden Keys to Ascension programme we have been visiting the seventh 'Golden Key' of satori (which felt a bit appropriate for being book launch week!).  

Satori asks us:  Are you awake?!  Are you concsious?  Are you in your life?  Are you living in awareness or are you lost in old patterns and dreams and illusions?  If the latter, what would it take for you to wake up, to be real, present, wholly in your life?

How would it be to dive into your life, to experience the richness of every moment, to open to the possibilities of every 'now'?  What might await you there?


Ever had that experience when all of a sudden you see something, you 'get it'',  you wake up - and you can't un-see it from there on in, can't go back to the half-light of sleep and illusion.  That's a taste of satori.

What are your satori moments?

When or how do they come?

What do you do with them when they do?

Satori is awakening, inspiration, insight, sudden perspective shift.  And when it comes, it can be brilliant, exciting and wonderful.  It also often needs to be integrated into our daily life, to become internalised and 'real'.


Here's an excerpt from the Satori chapter in The Language of Light :

When the light of awakening strikes us, in whatever form it takes, we find ourselves on the threshold of a new world view, looking out over the horizon with wonder, awe, excitement, perhaps even with trepidation.  Sands shift under our feet and we can no longer reference what we once thought we knew as solid foundation.  At the table of delicious possibilities laid out before us we may find ourselves slightly bewildered, wondering which delectable morsel to taste first.  Satori or breakthrough experiences are exquisite gifts which, even so, may take some time for our psyche to adjust to and accept.  We may get high on the bliss of a newly awakened moment then find ourselves wondering how this can become part of our existing life. 

Integration happens when we apply what we have learned to our daily lives.  It also really only happens when we get out of our own way.

In the period following an insight, an awakening, a deeply penetrated truth, we turn to our souls to allow all the bright shiny new pieces to come together and form an integrated whole.  Satori solidifies, amplifies and consolidates our spiritual nirvana experiences into real, present, accessible life.  Were we to float evermore on the heavenly light rays of existence without anchoring them here in our bodies, here on the earth, we would live only half-lives.  Our Ascension journey is a journey to the heart of all that is; all that is real, all that is illusion.  It is the meeting-place of soul and body.  Integration happens when we downshift the spiritual light of love and make it a solid reality in our homes, our hearts, our everyday lives.  As the light of our infinite beingness radiates into every corner of our daily world, we become satori embodied.

Colour 1 Workshop

I'm delighted to be offering this workshop once more.  With my other commitments I had to more or less let go of teaching this course for a while, but I've had rather a lot of interest and so I'm offering it again in January.  It's such a fabulous introduction to colour but it is also way, way more than a colour course!

Complementary Therapy Event, Reading

Reading massage therapist, Jayne Doyle (www.jaynedoyle.com) is to fly to Sarajevo, Bosnia in April 2010, to help bring relief to those still suffering trauma in the aftermath of the war, under the banner of British charity, Healing Hands Network.
